Many companies offer motorcycle tours throughout Colorado. Here at Accelerate, we pride ourselves in offering a premier active travel experience. Our pre-planned routes have been thoughtfully planned and scouted by our guides. By partnering with local outfitters along our routes, we’re able to appreciate amazing points of interest and activities that range from fly fishing to a dip in the local hot springs. We assure an amazing ride – but also want to show you some of the most coveted ghost towns, scenic spots, and unique experiences along the way!

Our dedicated team includes a chase vehicle and shuttle driver, knowledgeable CPR and First Aid trained tour guides, (2) full time mechanics and a Garmin Basecamp expert to create a well-planned experience for you or your group. All of our routes are designed by local riders with years of riding experience in our area, and feature the most scenic roads and trails that you may never see otherwise. In addition, we can customize our routes, itinerary, and accommodations to meet the needs of your particular group or price point. We can even create a custom tour just for you!  I went on the 4 day Colorado off-road motorcycle ride with Accelerate Adventures. It was a blast, my guides were Jen, Johnny and Rush, it was better then I could have asked for! Jen and Johnny are Enduro racers and Rush is a free style rider so I was riding with guides that had a ton of experience.
I have ridden a little off road but never competed so I would call myself a novice. I was riding a fairly heavy bike called an Africa Twin 1100cc bike that weighed around 600 lbs with crash bars and had the dual clutch transmission. The automatic was new to me but I used the paddle shifters in manual mode, and it performed great. We road just over 400 miles with maybe 100 miles being on road and the rest off road.
I can't tell you how glad I was that I went with guides. I get lost easily and love to ride with other people. I really don't get to ride with my buddies since they live in other states. Jen, Johnny and Rush were great to with, in fact if I'm being honest, I would rather ride with them, then my buddies. 😁I was a bit intimidated at first but that quickly went away, they made me fell like we had been old friends from the beginning of the trip. We were constantly surrounded, and in some beautiful mountains with the leaves turning colors so got some great pics and videos, I've been sharing with my friends.
My bike is heavy and I'm 61, so I wouldn't say it was an easy ride, but had I used a Iighter bike, it would have been easier for me, but I like challenge's so I'll be taking my War Horse again next year and hopefully getting to ride with Jen, Johnny and Rush again!
We hit some 12K ft Passes and even got into a mild snowstorm,that ramped things up a bit. It was an awesome trip and in the evenings we hit the town and had some good laughs. If you are thinking about doing something like this, give Jen a call, you won't regret it. I will have stories to tell for years, but will always be looking for new stories,so can't wait for next year! Just get out there and do it!

 The staff at Accelerate were incredible. Starting day three of the COBDR with a flat on your TUBLISS system is NOT what you want to do. Justin, Jen, and the rest of the Accelerate crew were able to get us back on the road quickly. This allowed us to not have to skip any of that day's section. I cannot recommend them enough. If push came to shove, I wouldn't have hesitated to rent one of their bikes to finish the COBDR on, either.Keep up the great work!

 This shop is amazing.  Very friendly and eager to assist.  I drove in here first thing one morning after a "mishap" on my bike left me with a bent front brake rotor.  While they did not have the parts I needed to properly repair my bike they were eager to assist with a solution that would get me back on the road so I could finish my 6 day adventure.  While there, I saw all the great bikes they had for rent and witnessed a couple transactions involving top notch customer service.  I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone in need of bike rentals or repairs!  Thank you!

 I got into town about 4:00 on a road trip. I was overdue for an oil change. The shop was hard at work on some projects and didn’t have time to work me in. But rather than dismissing me they offered to sell me the parts and do the oil change in the lot behind the shop. Also any tools I might need. Really appreciate them going the extra mile to satisfy my need. Jen was especially friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks

 On a recent trip to ride the BDR, our group started at Accelerate Adventure's shop. Jen was super nice and provided advice, place to park,  supplies, map (everything you'd need but didn't have). On top of it all one of our groups bike was non-functioning when unloaded, so we immediately rented an a ready to rental bike. Not having the ability to rent would have ruined our trip. What a fantastic place to headquarter out of for a big trip on the BDR!

 If you are looking for the best bike rental store in Colorado, go to Accelerate Adventures and ask for Jen! Jen is the absolute best. Jen teated me like I was her only customer and made me feel great! That is true customer service and very hard to find, Thank you Jen!!! We rented KTM 890s had many questions and had to make adjustments in our trip and Jen walked us through everything!! We will be back next year to rent bikes again.

 This place is great! Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable....highly recommend! Did a "short", 2 day guided adventure ride from Buena Vista to Lake City and back with a few buddies and it was awesome! Well planned out with routes to suit our skill levels, as well as cool stops for views, photo ops, and great places to grab some food. The accommodations for the night were perfect too...even had beers waiting for us when we rolled in! Great time, great guide, great people!

Guided or Self-Guided?

Our trips can be customized to fit your budget and group size. Our multi-day trips are offered in a guided or self-guided format.

A self-guided tour will include a pre-programmed Garmin Zumo GPS unit that will navigate you precisely on one of our custom routes (on your own bike – or rent one of ours). Self-guided tours are offered at a fraction of the price of a guided experience and are an affordable option for travelers who feel they don’t need a dedicated guide and chase vehicle service. We can book your overnight accommodations at our favorite stops along the way and provide advice on dining and activities, or you can plan those details yourself.

A guided tour offers a premier experience, taking the worry out of the trip and allowing you to have the most enjoyable ride. Our professional guides are experienced riders, are familiar with the routes, and are CPR/First Aid certified. We will be happy to point out fascinating points of interest along the way, capture photo & video moments of your experience, and introduce you to our favorite dining and lodging establishments along the way. Our goal is to give you a fun, once-in-a-lifetime, memorable and safe adventure.

Enduro Rides (Single Day)

If your idea of a great ride includes boulders, sandy washes and challenging single track – we have you covered! Our home – Buena Vista, Colorado is highly regarded as one of the best areas in the country for enduro style dirt biking. We’re proud to be Chaffee County’s only permitted motorcycle guide operating in both the Salida Ranger District (USFS) and local BLM lands. Our local Fourmile recreation area is an enduro destination for riders all over the state! Allow us to show you our favorite local spot, or rent a handheld GPS and a street legal 2021 Husqvarna 501s to tackle as much of the amazing local terrain as you can handle! A variety of terrain and trails are accessible from our shop. We also offer smoother rides to hidden historic spots and fascinating geologic features, with gentle stream crossings and spectacular scenic overlooks (bring your camera!).

Pricing

You may notice that trip costs are not displayed on our website. This is because group size and preferences along the route will factor into the overall cost of your adventure. For example, a group can elect for a guided or self-guided trip (GPS). You will have the option to utilize the services of our fully stocked chase vehicle (carries luggage and offers roadside assistance), or elect to carry your own supplies on the motorcycles. We also offer motorcycle rentals, shuttle service to and from the airport, helmet rental, GPS rental, and Giant Loop baggage rental. We can take care of all accommodations for you (many need to be reserved months in advance), or you may elect to book your own. Camping is another favorite option for some folks who really want to get away from it all! Our all-inclusive packages include guide service along a meticulously pre-planned route, breakfast & lunch meals, nightly lodging, a support chase vehicle, and an Accelerate Adventures t-shirt 😊

It’s not just about the seat time! Colorado has so much to offer, and our pre-planned routes include time for optional activities along the way, and at your nightly destinations. We have hand-selected our favorite restaurants in the area, as well as the best lodges and hotels to provide an enjoyable night’s rest. We connect you with local experts to offer activities like fly fishing, a dip at one of the famous local hot springs, jeep tours, or a leisurely bicycle ride over to our (guaranteed best) dining accommodations. If your group is more focused on riding – just let us know! We can modify your ride to include more seat time – usually at a reduced cost.
