Lead Mechanic/Shop Manager
Doug found an early passion for motorcycles and learned to ride on a friend’s Honda 100 at eight years old. At 11, he found the opportunity to buy a XR75 that was in pieces. After countless nights in the family shed he rebuilt the engine, re-assembled the bike and rode it for years. This ignited a passion for motorcycles that has fueled a lifetime of racing and wrenching. He went on to race his XR as a kid, and eventually made his way up to #2 XC Amateur in New Mexico as an adult.
In 2000, Doug became a certified BMW tech and purchased a K100 from the dealership he worked in. He has remained a motorcycle technician ever since, spending many years as a BMW tech, then most recently an Artic Cat technician. Doug brings years of experience and knowledge to Accelerate Motor Works repair shop.
Justin was brought up up in a family of motorcycle enthusiasts and started riding a Honda Z50 at 7 years old. He quickly jumped to a KX60, then, CR125. Sport Quads were all the rage at the time, and in order to fund the purchase of his first quad, he got a job working for a local motorcycle repair and salvage shop in his hometown of Apex, NC. After high school, Justin’s passion for motorcycles shifted toward the street. He found that his love of motorcycles was not specific to one style or era of bike. He has owned (and loved) all kinds of bikes, from classic Harleys to Supermotos and enduro bikes.
After moving to Colorado in 2017, Justin transitioned back into off-road riding. He spends Saturdays on his FX450, and has been blessed with the opportunity to share that passion with his wife Margo, and two young children – Grady and Paige. Justin heads up our rental division, and will be offering guided tours starting in 2022.
Jen is a dirt bike racer and motorcycle enthusiast. After moving to Colorado in 1999, her husband taught her to ride his old 1986 Honda CR80. From that moment, she was hooked! Since then, she has owned multiple bikes and spends every spare moment in the seat. In recent years, she has followed the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit racing her Husqvarna TE300, and in 2021 secured the Ladies B championship. Riding the local single-track is a favorite pastime, as well as exploring all the mountain passes and remote towns in this beautiful state.
Jen’s enthusiasm for riding is contagious, and we are excited to have her join our team! In the past, she has hosted multiple moto meet-ups and has led group rides, as well as coached new riders. Jen works with the “Adventures” side of our business, planning and guiding our motorcycle trips, and handling rentals.
