TOUR ITINERARY

DAY ONE

Buena Vista → Bishops Castle → Florence → Cripple Creek

Seat Time: 4 - 4.5 hours

Ride along lightly traveled and beautiful mountain roads. Explore one of the most inspiring testaments to one man’s perseverance as you climb to the top of the hand-built Bishop’s Castle. Two lane rural winding roads bring you to the next stop: Enjoy the local’s favorite spot for lunch in the old railroad town of Florence, before heading through untamed mountain landscapes to the evening’s destination of Cripple Creek.

Partake in an entertaining private Ghost Tour by the District Museum next door, highlighting the darker side of the history of the local mining towns. Try your luck at the casino and explore the dining options downstairs, complete with 24-hour bar service.

DAY TWO

Cripple Creek → Tarryall → Guanella Pass → Georgetown → Leadville → Buena Vista

Seat Time: 4 - 4.5 hours

Day two is packed with amazing scenery, mountain passes, and American history. Explore the mining regions of Tarryall, including the old School House (1889) and Snair Cabin (1875). Take in the spectacular views atop Guanella Pass before descending into a waterfront lunch spot in Georgetown. From there, travel to the highest city in Colorado, Leadville, where we will explore the famous Mining Museum before completing our scenic loop back to Buena Vista.
